FAShifts uses exactly two cookies. Both are strictly necessary for the app to work — neither is optional, and there's no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookie to consent to, which is why you don't see a cookie banner here.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in between page loads. Without it, you'd have to log in on every request. | Until you log out, or the session expires |
| currentLocationId | Remembers which of your business's locations you last had selected, if you manage more than one. | Persistent, until cleared |
Under most privacy laws (GDPR's ePrivacy rules, for example), only non-essential cookies — analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking — need opt-in consent. Both cookies above are strictly necessary for basic functionality (staying logged in, remembering a setting you chose), which is the standard exemption. FAShifts doesn't run analytics or advertising, so there's nothing else to disclose or ask permission for. Our error-monitoring tool, Sentry (see the Privacy Policy), doesn't set its own cookies.
The app also saves a few small preferences directly in your browser (not sent to our servers) — things like whether your sidebar is collapsed, whether you've seen the onboarding tour, or a display toggle you picked. These are ordinary local storage, not cookies, and you can clear them anytime from your browser's settings without affecting your account.
If we ever add a cookie that isn't strictly necessary, we'll update this page and add a real consent banner at the same time — not after.
